Uncovering the Foundations of
Carleton’s Oldest Building
with Professor Sarah Kennedy

Thursday, May 9, 2024
9 a.m. Central Time

Carleton's Archaeological Methods course provides students with hands-on opportunities for archaeological research on Carleton's campus. This year, Professor Sarah Kennedy's class focused on the remains of the historic Seccombe House Music Hall, originally located north of 1st Street in what is today Skinner Chapel's southwest lawn.

Sarah will talk about recent archaeological and archival work she and her students have been doing on Seccombe House over the last year.

Sarah Kennedy is an Assistant Professor of archaeology and Latin American Studies. She received her B.A. in anthropology and Spanish from the University of Wyoming, her M.A. in anthropology from the University of Florida, and her Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh.

Register by Wednesday, May 8 to participate in this Zoom event.

Cost: None.
