Ceramics Wood Firing

The Carleton Wood Kiln is fired two to three times each year and is a critical part of ceramics education on our campus. The firing starts with just a single match and a few sticks around 5am and reaches temperatures exceeding 2200 degrees by 10pm. Anyone is welcome to visit the kiln throughout the day to learn more about the firing and the ceramics community!
